                                  == halinads Version 2.3 ==

The latest version of this skin can always be found at
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=24571739

This help file is also accessible through the 'Help' menu in steam, but only while using the
halinads skin. To access it, simply click the 'Help' menu and click 'halinads' from the list
of menu items.

== Installation ==

Note: If you have any prevous versions of halinads installed, it is probably a good idea
to delete them before extracting a newer version. This means deleting the 'halinads' folder
AND the 'tweaks' folder (if present) from steam\skins\ before extracting a new version of
the skin.

From the zip archive, copy/extract the folder named 'halinads' to the following location:

	C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Skins\

This is the default location for Steam installations on a 64 bit windows machine. If you
installed Steam to a different directory, simply navigate there, open the 'skins' subfolder,
and copy/extract the halinads folder into it.

In Steam, open the settings dialog and click the 'Interface' tab.

	Steam > Settings > Interface

	or

	View > Settings > Interface

In the middle of the interface tab page, there is a listbox for choosing the skin you want
Steam to use. Click on the listbox and select 'halinads' from the list of skin choices. Now
click on the 'OK' button on the bottom right. Steam will then prompt you to restart. Click
the button marked "Restart Steam", and you're done.

== Color Themes and Other Customizations ==

There are several different color themes to choose from. To change the current color theme,
open "config.ini" with a text editor and follow the instructions written inside the file.
The config.ini file also contains several other custom options you can play with.

== Tweaks ==

In the zip archive, there is also a folder named "Tweaks" which contains some optional
layout changes you can apply to the skin. Each subfolder here contains an individual tweak
and a text file with a short description of what the tweak does in addition to brief
instructions on how to apply it.

Applying a tweak is fairly easy. Simply open the 'halinads' folder that was created inside
the Steam 'skins' subfolder during the installation of the skin. For most users this will be

	C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Skins\halinads\

Then copy/extract the contents of the tweak subfolder into this folder, choosing to overwrite
any and all files and folders when prompted. If you were not prompted to overwrite any files
or folders, then you did something wrong.

Once you have overwritten the files with the ones from the tweak, you must restart Steam for
the changes to take effect. You can do this from the menu.

	Steam > Restart Steam

== FAQ ==

Q: The fonts in the overlay look all blocky and pixelated. How do I fix this?

A: The Steam in-game overlay has a problem with the way it handles font smoothing when the
text is not a light color against a dark background, therefore you are advised to turn OFF
DirectWrite from within the interface settings tab when you are using this skin. This is a
problem with Steam itself, not halinads. To disable DirectWrite, go to

	Steam > Settings > Interface

	or

	View > Settings > Interface

...and remove the check in the box next to the text "Enable DirectWrite for improved font
smoothing and kerning". This will resolve the problem with blocky/pixelated text in the
overlay. If you still wish to fiddle with the way fonts are drawn, you can do so from the
Windows Control Panel named 'Fonts'. The settings you'll probably want to play with from
there are the ones dealing with ClearType.

Q: What happened to the games details page layout? I want the list back on the other side.

A: There is a tweak for this included in the 'Tweaks' folder in the zip archive. It will
put the details list back over on the other side if you really prefer it that way.

Q: I found a bug. How can I report it?

A: Some problems are caused by Steam itself, but if you think you found a bug with the
skin, please report it at

http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?p=24571739

Q: I like the skin, but I want you to change something for me. Will you do this?

A: Obviously there are no promises, but it's very likely that you can be accommodated.
Your suggestion may be added as a tweak you can use to get the changes you want, or it may
just be used directly in the skin by default.

Q: How do I shot web?
